Reuters reports on the meeting between Pope John Paul II and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in June 1995.  The article reports that the Pope expressed mutual responsibility for the Great Schism of 1054.  It also indicates that the hope of the meeting was to re-launch productive dialogue towards unity.
